This course is designed to help incoming freshman students transition to high school. It will focus on organizational habits, study skills, and social-emotional well-being to promote academic success.

The mission of advisory programs is to create an environment where all students can be successful, develop necessary skills to succeed now and in the future and to make informed career pathway and educational decisions.

Staff permission Assistants will receive on-the-job training in various areas - directed by staff supervisor.

During this course, Davis appointed student body leaders organize school activities to promote a positive culture at Davis. 

Students will assist teacher in their “home” school building. They will learn filing, record keeping, and other clerical duties and, in some cases, will work directly with students.

The Ethnic Studies course focuses on the histories, cultures, languages, and surrounding politics of local minority communities in the Yakima Valley. Special emphasis is given to the Yakama Nation, African-Americans, Latinos, Asian, and Pacific Islanders, and the LGBTQ+ communities, among others. Students learn to become civically engaged members of our shared society and strive for positive outcomes and social justice for all.
