This course introduces teaching as a career. This course provides an overview of American public education, and explores topics such as: what makes effective teachers; the responsibilities of schools in a democratic society; essential professional competencies; and teacher preparation and certification.

Students must be enrolled in Teacher Academy Program.

This class is only offered to students enrolled in SKB 511/512 or SKB 513/514. College-level content and coursework. Students must enroll and register for the course through Central Washington University. Parent(s) and guardians must give consent to participate in the class.
